Overview

Blackmores I-Folic™ is a convenient one-a day dose of folic acid and iodine, in a small, easy to swallow tablet.

One bottle will provide you with a 5-month supply of these two essential nutrients.

Why Use

  • Provides iodine for the development of baby’s brain, visual, motor skills & hearing
  • Provides a daily dose of 500 microgram of folic acid that may reduce the risk of birth defects of the brain &/or spinal cord such as spina bifida if taken daily for 1 month prior to conception and during pregnancy

Active Ingredients

Potassium iodide
(iodine 150 microgram)

Iodine is an essential trace element and is an integral part of the thyroid hormone, thyroxine, required for normal growth and metabolism. An adequate intake of iodine is particularly important for pregnant and breastfeeding women when infants are entirely dependent on their mother’s intake of iodine for normal growth and brain development. Foods containing iodine include seawater fish, shellfish, seaweeds and iodised salt.
Folic acid
500 microgram
A water-soluble B group vitamin, folate is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA and the activation of vitamin B12 into it’s active form. Folic acid is found in fresh green leafy vegetables, broccoli, mushrooms, legumes, nuts and fortified cereals.

Dosage

Adults – Take 1 tablet a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed

Warnings

  • Always read the label and follow the directions for use
  • Supplements may only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate
  • Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particular in your first trimester
  • Do not exceed the stated dose except on medical advice. If you have had a baby with a neural tube defect/spina bifida, seek specific medical advice
  • Always talk to your health professional before taking multiple products for pregnancy
  • Not to be taken with Blackmores Conceive Well Gold, Blackmores Pregnancy & Breast-Feeding Gold, Blackmores Folate, or other folic acid containing supplements
  • If you have any pre-existing conditions, or are on any medications always talk to your health professional before use
  • Some products should be ceased at least two weeks before any elective surgery, please confirm with your health professional

If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase, Pharmacy Junction will offer you an exchange or refund provided that:

  • You return the item within 30 days of purchase
  • You produce your original Pharmacy Junction register receipt, online tax invoice or other adequate proof of purchase at the time you return the item.
  • The item must not have been used or damaged in any way including that
  • It is in its original packaging including manuals, pamphlets, and all accessories.
  • It is unopened, unused and in its original saleable condition
  • The product is not one on which a change of mind return is not available (https://www.pharmacyjunction.com.au/returnspolicy/).

If these requirements are not satisfied Pharmacy Junction reserves the right not to offer an exchange or refund for change of mind returns.

Return postage costs will have to be paid by the customer and any postage paid will not be refunded. In the case that free shipping is offered, an $10 fee is deducted from the refund as postage is at our expense.

Pharmacy Junction uses Australia Post OR Courier Please for all deliveries. All parcels will be delivered to the provided address and may require a signature on receipt. It is recommended to provide a work address for delivery if no one is home during business hours, as Australia Post & Courier Please will leave a card with collection point details.

Orders will be packaged in plain boxes and unmarked for privacy and security.
